KGE products have different audiences. Some are adults-only; others may be general-audience or teen-accessible. KGE’s safety approach should reflect the age of the user and the risks of the product.
Effective:
1. Age handling
KGE may request date-of-birth or age information and may use age-assurance or verification tools where appropriate or legally required. Information collected solely to determine age should not be reused for unrelated purposes and should be retained only as long as necessary for that purpose, subject to applicable law.
2. Children under 13
Where a KGE service is directed to children under 13 or KGE has actual knowledge it is collecting personal information from a child under 13, KGE pauses onboarding before the rest of the account is created and uses parental notice and verifiable parental consent as required. Internal-use scenarios may use KGE's email-plus workflow with a second confirmation step where legally permitted. Social or public-data experiences do not treat a simple emailed token as sufficient under-13 verification; those requests are blocked or routed to a stronger verified-parent method.
3. Teen protections
Teen-accessible products may use stricter defaults, guardian controls, limits on discoverability or communication, age-appropriate content rules and additional reporting or moderation systems.
4. Adult-only products
Adult-oriented relationship, sexual or casino-style features may require higher age thresholds. Adult-only products must not be marketed or designed as minor experiences.
5. Exploitation and grooming
Grooming, sexual exploitation, solicitation of sexual material from minors, sextortion, trafficking, or attempts to move a minor into unsafe off-platform contact are prohibited. KGE may preserve and report evidence to appropriate authorities or reporting organizations where required or permitted.
6. Guardian controls
KGE Central Consumer Identity owns the guardian-consent workflow. When approval is required, KGE sends the parent or guardian a full disclosure and one-time token through the dedicated consent email system. The parent or guardian—not the younger user—enters the token and records the decision. The younger user's signup session receives only the approval status. Guardians may later request revocation, subject to verification and legal or safety retention requirements.
7. Reporting
Users can report child-safety concerns through KGE Support. Emergencies and immediate threats should be reported to appropriate emergency services or law enforcement.
8. Data minimization
KGE aims to collect age information first and to stop collection of additional personal account data when a user is routed into guardian consent. Guardian records use an age band rather than duplicating raw date of birth where practical. One-time tokens and signup status keys are stored as hashes and expire. Children's information is not enrolled in targeted advertising through the general guardian-approval flow.
Important: Product-specific disclosures, app-store rules and rights that cannot legally be waived may supplement or override general language in this policy.
